The Story of a Picture

There is a photo of the most magical trip I had ever take. Are in one of the peculiar hallways of an old hotel situated in a coast town called Iloca, Maule region. The person in the photo is someone who was and continue beeing special in my life. During that trip, we thought we wouldn’t see each other again cause we had some problems between us. However, without realizing it, we were only at the beginning of our journey.

It's October 2021 and I had just celebrate my birthday. I was looking forward to the weekend to celebrate with my work and lifelong friends, and family. Although I had many plans, i didn’t feel glad to do anything exited . However, driven by a strong impulse, I asked her if she want to go on a trip with me. Although we had talk about it before, we never made any concrete plans until that day.

I disappeared completely with this person, makeing believable excuses for why I couldn't attend anything, and hid my Instagram stories from almost everyone. (Sorry!)

To summarize, we visited my aunt in Talca (who has a thousand cats). We stayed only one day there and impulsively decided to search for a beach. Since it was late, the buses had stop running, but we boarded the only micro that was passing by, ‘cause was going to a town a little closer to the sea than Talca. The micro led to a small town called Curepto (I had never hear of before). We spent the night in a residence there and it was almost completely empty. It didn't give much confidence, but it was the only one in town so... 

The next day, we woke up late! (We are extremely good at sleeping) and we were told that catching a bus at that time was difficult, but we went to the road anyway with the idea of hitchhiking (We really wanted to go to the beach). To our surprise, a micro appeared after only two minutes! 

Despite the many possibilities for things to go wrong during the trip, everything went well, even the most impossible things.

Our initial plan waa stay only for the weekend, but we ended up staying for almost five days. We nearly got fired from work!! But as I was saying, on that trip everything went well, so we got fired! Nah it's just a joke but it wouldn't have been so bad.
